SDG Special Session at the 4th Growth in Transition Conference
November 2018
In order to achieve a broad dissemination of ClEP results a special breakout session on the SDGs was organised at the 4th Growth in Transition Conference on November 15th, 2018. The breakout session "The SDGs as Compass for Transformation" focused on the interactions between the UN's sustainability goals (UN SDGs). Prof. Nebojsa Nakicenovic (IIASA) emphasized in his keynote the importance of not looking at the SDGs in isolation but in a holistic perspective. He stressed that in order to achieve the SDGs and sustainable development beyond 2030, immediate action and a focus on people and the planet are essential. In the short presentations Fritz Hinterberger (SERI - project meetPASS), Daniela Kletzan-Slamanig (WIFO - ClEP) and Willi Haas (BOKU) summarized the results of their research projects with a focus on Austria. In the final discussion, the necessity of a coherent policy design geared to the SDGs was again emphasized.

ClEP Expert Focus Group
November 2017
On November 27th 2017, an Expert Focus Group was held at WIFO in order to discuss and validate the indicators for sustainable energy development with selected interdisciplinary experts.
